Reflections of an interesting day

Today began the first day of TeachUp training and it was nothing like I expected. My expectations were to learn something new, but the knowledge I gained in one day exceeded those expectations. I enjoyed the way we were challenged to think outside the box as well as communicate with our peers. I gained knowledge of the various programs and documents provided by Google. I found Google Earth to be the most interesting program because it gives you the ability and access to other countries and landmarks without actually being there. Podcast is another program that was introduced to us and I also found it to be both interesting and helpful with interacting in a classroom setting. Today was very informative, entertaining, and fun. I'm very excited to see what tomorrow holds!!

  1. Keonia,
I feel the same way. There was so much information shown today that I didn't expect to see. It was good though. I mean how can we show others things that we don't know? The instructors were patient and they explained things thoroughly. That was really important. I,too, am looking forward to tomorrow. See ya there!

  2. We did have a lot of information related to us in a relatively short amount of time didn't we. I think I also found Google Earth to be the most interesting, especially since now I can tell my friends who are science teachers about it and they can use it for their classroom.

I also look forward to what else we can learn for the rest of the week.

  4. I'm glad you enjoyed everything we went over and feel that you're learning new tools. We definitely encourage thinking outside of the box, and constantly striving to come up with new ways that we can use these types of tools in the classroom. Make sure to take notes so you'll be able to refer back to all of these resources once you're in the school/
